Karl Andersen -Director of Investigations and Security Logistics

 

Karl Andersen has been in the private security and private investigations field for over sixteen years, working for both private security and investigations firms; including seven years as an investigator for Investigative Solutions Incorporated.  With specific experience in surveillance, white collar crime, executive protection, security operations and corporate loss prevention, as well as participatory experience in investigations with both state and federal level law enforcement.  Mr. Andersen has held supervisory positions with Allied Barton Security, Nationwide Security and Admiral Security where he gained field experience in security related logistics and command and control.

 

Mr. Andersen holds a degree in Criminal Justice and maintains close ties with current and former members of the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.

 

 

Aaron Cowan -Director of Close Protection and Risk Management-

 

With over seven years of service in the United States Army and Army National Guard, specializing in small unit, mechanized and helicopter borne operations, Mr. Cowan has extensive knowledge of tactical applications and control.  During his military career, Mr. Cowan participated in a number of operations as an attachment to an anti-terrorism task force, gaining priceless insight and experience into the world of risk management.

  

As a civilian, he has worked in executive and tactical close protection environments, private investigations and surveillance.  Mr. Cowan has provided services to fortune 100 companies, venture capitalists, celebrities, and government agencies.

 

Mr. Cowan has specific experience in both conventional and unconventional security methods, urban operations, motorcade logistics and tactical close protection as well as high risk domestic security with a specific focus in disaster relief services.  He remains professionally up to date through progressive training and professional relationships with members of the United States Special Operations community.

 

 

Robert Hague -Deputy Director of Close Protection and Risk Management-

 

Robert Hague began his career with the United States Marine Corps in 1997 as a member of the Third Marine Division.  While with the Third Marine Division, Mr. Hague served as a Scout/Sniper before being tasked as an instructor with the Special Operations Training Group.  While with SOTG, Mr. Hague held a training position in the Amphibious Reconnaissance section where he was responsible for, and excelled at, teaching amphibious reconnaissance and expeditionary warfare, instructing Marines of the Battalion and Force Reconnaissance Platoons in asymmetrical operational techniques.  

 

In 2001, Mr. Hague left the USMC to pursue a career in the private sector.  After serving as a firearms and tactics instructor for a number of private security companies, Mr. Hague accepted a position as a Physical Security Detail member with a Private Firm in Iraq.  During his five deployments to Iraq, Mr. Hague provided close protection and High Risk Logistics Security for the U.S. State Department, Department of Defense, and various commercial corporations, serving as a PSD team member, team leader and as a Designated Defensive Marksman.

 

In 2008, Mr. Hague was offered, and accepted a position with Overwatch International as Lead Instructor, a position he still holds in addition to his promotion to Deputy Director of Close Protection late in 2008.  Mr. Hague brings to Overwatch International priceless experience gained during his time in the United States Marine Corps, and while serving in Iraq.  His industry insight and forward thinking approach to occupational instruction are beneficial to the company, clients and students alike.

 

 

Matthew Powell -Executive Consultant on Advanced Self Defense Tactics-

 

Matt Powell has been emerged in the executive protection community for more than a decade. Providing his expertise to world class entertainers and businesses alike while also promoting and teaching the martial arts style of Pramek (based on the teachings of Russian instructor A.A. Kadochnikov), of whom he was the first western student and American representative.  As an instructor, Mr. Powell has taught both state and federal level law enforcement, consulted and taught for the United States Army Ranger Training Brigade and United States Army Combatives Institute, the United States Army's Land Warrior Development Unit, various other military and intelligence units,  as well as members of the bail enforcement and executive protection community. 

Mr. Powell is the author of K-Sys: An American Understanding of the Kadochnikov System and numerous videos on combatives.  He is also the first western member, graduate and representative of The International Academy of Personal Safety in Krasnodar, Russia and holds a degree in History. 

 

Harold Copus – Senior Investigative Consultant-

 

Harold Copus is a former Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and nationally recognized private investigator specializing in forensic accounting and white collar crime.  Mr. Copus has significant corporate litigation-support experience and is recognized as an expert witness in fraud investigations for the U.S. District Courts in North Carolina and Florida. He has been interviewed extensively on Fox News, Court TV and featured on several Dr Phil Shows for his success in finding missing children. Harold Copus was invited by President George Bush in 2002 to participate in the White House conference on missing and exploited children.

 

As the Senior Investigative Consultant for Overwatch International, Mr. Copus provides a level of expertise and insight on forensic accounting and private investigations that is virtually unmatched by any single person or company in the industry.
